How Air Conditioning Works

A/C works by compressing a refrigerant until it becomes very hot and pressurized. The refrigerant then runs through a pressurized condenser, which dissipates the heat. After that, the compressed refrigerant is released into a non-pressurized chamber, where it rapidly expands and takes back all the heat it produced, but since that heat was dissipated in the condenser, it ends up cooling the chamber and the air around it. Your A/C blows air around that chamber to cool down the air, bringing cold water to you in the cabin.

One of the easiest ways to find leaks is to inject a fluorescent gas into the air conditioning system and then look for the fluorescence escaping from any part. Our technicians are professionals who are sure to catch any leaks and help you repair them so that you can have a fully closed system of air conditioning.

A/C Recharge After Repairs

Once your air conditioning is in good shape, it likely will need to be recharged. This just means that our technicians replace the refrigerant in your A/C system and fill it up to the recommended pressures so that you can have a functioning A/C again. We’re happy to provide you with an A/C recharge once we know there aren’t any leaks in your A/C system, and we provide OEM replacement parts for any parts that might need to be replaced in the process.
